...walked in around 6:30am give or take.....some serious ass pain in my left foot. Gout was my guess at the time. There was no wait, I was attended to immediately, and my interaction with the staff on duty was exceptional! They did what they could, communicated what they were going to do, and were professional the entire time.
Thank you.

I’ve been there many times for a variety of issues and each time the staff are great! You can’t find better care! I was in the ICU and my nurses were more than amazing. They kept me and my family calm while I recovered. My son just recently went to the ER and he was treat so sweetly by the nurses and doctor. It’s just a great place to be when you need help. The hospital food isn’t half bad either!

I was sitting in the hospital ER for approximately 10 hours this past Sunday. It was an absolute horrific experience. If I had been dying, I would have died right there. Apparently they were busier than normal and understaffed and not enough beds were open. I don’t have the answer for fixing this but something needs to be done. My suggestion would be to staff Research hospital and start taking Er patients there. At one time it was a major hospital in this town. Now it appears to just sit there being underutilized. NKC wasn’t built to handle the people that are being admitted there. I been dealing with this hospital since it opened and seeing what is going on is truly heartbreaking.

Hi there, I usually post good reviews, but sharing this experience seems important. This happened 6 months ago but it's still really bothering me. I (female) went into the ER on a Saturday night after work because I had an episode where my heart rate got over 200, (no medication or drugs used) of course it had gone down by the time I got there, but I was honestly a bit paranoid and scared that something horrible was going on. I didn't want to just go home and go to sleep, in case it was serious. When I got back to my room and the nurse started asking me questions, he was very short with me and cut me off, I promise you I was nothing but kind to him, and he asked me the most frustrating thing, "is it possible that this is all in your head?" I got a chest x-ray and an EKG done and was told I have sinus tachycardia, I knew that something was going on with my heart. Why on earth would I go to the ER (expensive) for something that I was making up, and how could I fake an elevated heart rate? Once my partner (male) came back to the room and told them that I had been dealing with an elevated heart rate for years now but it had only just gotten this bad, which I tried to explain but was cut off, they were "sympathetic" and wanted to help me, it was truly unbelievable. I have a lot of mental health issues caused by trauma, including PTSD, this mistreatment must have had something to do with how my mental illness presents itself. Because of this experience, I haven't even been to the doctor since, I just don't want anyone to feel like I'm wasting their time and I'm afraid of the consequences or retaliation of a nurse or doctor thinking that I'm lying or that I'm "crazy", I don't know, I wish people were more kind and understanding towards people with mental health issues, because we have physical health issues too, and we deserve to be helped like everyone else. Thank you for reading, please be kind.

My car accident was nowhere near this hospital. I passed over 4 major trauma centers to come specifically to this emergency room. The attention and care that I received is the best I have had. From the moment you walk through the doors, the efficiency that they use to get you into a room and seen by doctors is like nothing I have experienced. Every staff member has a helpful and positive attitude. From reception, billing, technicians, nurses and doctors. They are thorough in the examinations and it is not a rushed experience. The follow up your visit is just as good. I will continue to go here above all else. It is clean, friendly, supportive and most importantly, efficient. No hours waiting here. Properly staffed and with the right staff at that.

From registration to walking out the door was about 4 hours,. And that included a. C scan of my head after a fall on ice. All Staff were kind, efficient, caring and eager to be of service and did a good job of caring for everyone. I was pleased with the care I received. Thanks to each one who helped me.

I was feeling very ill when my husband took me to the emergency room. The staff addressed my concerns, did tests on me and determined a plan of treatment for me in a reasonable amount of time. I was impressed with the care shown to me and the results the staff prescribed for me.
