I had to go in to the emergency room last night and had the best care. There was a wait but triage did a great job and got me back to a room. The check in staff, triage staff, Dr and nurses were all very compassionate and caring. My night ended in emergency surgery. Every single staff person from the dr and nurses in the ER to the Dr who performed the surgery and her nurses and anesthesiologist were fantastic. The recovery nurse was the best and we just had a great experience with everything and everyone on a very difficult day. We are lucky to have this resource and these people in our community.

This hospital sets a standard that should be nationwide. The absolute best hospital in the state of MN. You get care with your solutions. Staff are unbelievably nice and sensitive to your needs. Not only do I have my children here, I don't go anywhere else for my health checks. 10 stars.

I only came to NH because it was closer to my home. Big mistake! Fairview Ridges in Burnsville and Fairview Southdale are absolutely the best in professionalism and care. If you want to know my story with NH go to my Facebook page and contact me through there. If I can spare anyone from going to this hospital, I will kindly do that. Please, there are other incredible options.

I came in almost dying and they still made me sit in the waiting room for a good 10-15mins while I was collapsing over and over. They showed no sense of urgency and just shrugged it off. I ended up needed same day surgery, and I stayed for three days. The nurses that I had were really nice up until the next night of my stay, I think she was one of the head nurses, wore pink scrubs but her attitude made my stay a living hell. While I had a visitor she acted all nice but after they left she would always make remarks whenever she had to do anything extra for you, and I also had to use the little thing they called a urinal and I couldn’t use it after she dumped it out one time because she never dumped it all the way out or rinsed it like the other nurses. If I’m in pain and on drugs someone with an attitude like hers is the last that I want to deal with

I was in the ER tonight. The nurses and doctor were the BEST. They were kind, patient, caring. They kept me informed as I never dealt with the experience that put me in the ER. I’m greatly for the team I had! I do want to shout out this one nurse, she kept me calm while they did what they needed to. She was so gentle & kind. Unsure of her name but she did have purple hair. Thank you again Northfield Hospital.

Awful billing and finance department. Can't get insurance claims right, and often double charges for services. Awesome staff for the most part but they will bleed you dry for the care you get, and make even trying to get the bill a nightmare. Extremely rude financial staff, and they make it seem like you're a burden to even call. I avoid coming just because they're awful about billing.

I usually Drive 45 minutes just to be here because I had great experiences for myself with care. my son who is only a year old has been dealing with weight loss and other issues that were unsure of I tried scheduling an appointment twice and each time the appointment schedulers we're not listening to the time frames that I had available trying to work on everything going on I wasn't picky on what provider he needed to see I just wanted him to see someone we were able to squeeze in a time the day after Thanksgiving but unfortunately because my drive took a little bit longer we were roughly 8 minutes behind schedule when I arrived 8 minutes late the doctor refused to see my son because of the tardiness I was told previously that if you were going to be more than 15 minutes late to call I asked if there was anyone available to see my son because he is actively losing weight she said no one could see him and suggested to reschedule 2 weeks out my son has been losing two to four pounds per month you're telling me to wait more time for him to lose more weight for something we have no idea what is wrong the ER would not diagnose it and told me to make an appointment but clearly no one can help me let alone excuse a few minutes of tardiness just to help my baby. This has made me feel torn apart that I can't help my son and find out what is wrong with him and to be turned away breaks my heart. This isn't a job interview, this isn't a hair appointment, this isn't something that can be pushed aside for being late, this is something serious and besides the point of me being late you're a doctor.. you're there all day this is your job 8 minutes should not have chopped off so much time that you can no longer see him when we are scheduled for an hour of time. ridiculous....
