I was charged $10,400 for saline solution and electrolyte test. After adjustments, I owed about $3000. I was poked multiple times by an intern who could not insert the IV and left my hand bruised for weeks. The doctor came for a couple of minutes but did not examine me and just asked a few questions. No other tests were done.
I asked for the blood work, I was given a torn up piece of paper with no heading and definitely not my name anywhere.
When I received the bill, I called and asked for a detailed breakdown of the bill. I was given the original bill in the mail.
The pharmacy has charged over $600 for IV saline. Really!
This is NOT right. I believe it is robbery.
I need a detailed list of charges that created the$10,400 bill.
I was in the er for about an hour and mostly surrounded and poked by students!
You have my info, I need someone from the facility to contact me.
Shame on you for taking advantage of people when they are most vulnerable.

Update
Run from this place..Especially if Dr Cleveland is your doctor dangerous & lacks respect for patients.
Unfortunately the cleaning staff do a terrible job & the trash is overflowing with bio hazard. If you have a open wound or injury would not recommend due to the risk of infection housekeeping is horrible which is not he ER stafffs fault but definitely will lead to infection .
The ER has drastically declined in patient care . They get mad i if you come back for. Medical emergency more then once but do not admit you for care or diagnostics even if your Dr who is specialist sent you to the ER . Compassion & true care is no longer here other then a few rare ER techs .

I've only had to go to the ER about 5x my entire life. This crew is the best I've ever been to, period. Got me in quickly, treated me with kindness and respect, & referred me to an amazing Ortho doc before the hour was over. Maybe this isn't everyone's experience, maybe I got lucky that day, but, at any rate, everyone here from the Security Officer to the Admin tech to the nurses and the ED doc were just really cool and attentive. They went out of their way to be both polite and professional. I honestly hope I never have to go back, but if I do, I would trust these people 💯 with my life.

I left the emergency room in tears after feeling very invalidated about my symptoms. The emergency room sent me home With severe symptoms And no diagnosis. They also gave me incorrect aftercare, Did not take my medication or get history before, Gave me a medication that says to not take with my symptoms, And failed to treat me correctly. I trusted my gut and knew I needed to be seen somewhere else, so I went to Jupiter Medical Center where I received great care And accurate care. I got a call from the Department of Health this week telling me About a bacterial infection that can be pretty severe that I have. Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center sent me home with no diagnosis and incorrect aftercare when I had STEC EColi. This kind of E. coli is very dangerous And contagious. The nurse Told me “ The emergency room is for urgent matters in emergencies, You should be at G.I” 🙁 I felt so validated and hurt. Since finding out my diagnosis, What I experienced is malpractice. I have reached out to the hospital and will Continue to speak up about malpractice. The department of health in Palm Beach County is horrified that they sent me home With this contagious disease With no guidance or help or diagnosis. Thank goodness for Jupiter, Medical Center, who took good care of me, and was able to give me a stool test that showed STEC EColi. This is my third bad experience here and worst. I will not be coming back.

This place is absolutely awful. I will never return. Some nurses I had were great but overall they are somewhat rude and not helpful. I felt like I was in jail instead of a hospital. Too bad as they are very convenient for me. But never again. Trust me and just stay away. They were much better years ago. Too bad they didn't keep it up. Just an awful place when you are sick.

I would normally go to Jupiter Medical Center, but decided to try a different area hospital after recent experiences there. I am so glad I did, this has been a much better experience with time to care and subjective sense of quality of care.
No time wasted when placed in an ER room due to quarantine... vitals & labs drawn quickly... IVs and medications also initiated very fast. Received patient portal link and was able to see lab results real time to have a better sense of what was going on.
Everybody in the intake & nursing process had a helpful & reassuring demeanor. Medications were administered that I hoped I had a chance to try for treatment (would swallow rabbit "pellets" at this point if it would help), I was amazed & ecstatic that an ER doctor would be using this protocol!
Eventually admitted w/ hopixia, the nurse caring for me has been so great and I have zero complaints.
I will forever come back here whenever I have a choice.

I was told by cardiologists to go to the ER right away (they couldn't see me for 3 weeks) bc they were worried about my in heart rate. I came to this ER and was greeted nicely by the waiting room staff and my nurse. The doctor however couldn't be worse. Not only did he sound like a toddler who was rude & insanely unprofessional , he then belittled me and what I was going through. My heart rate was extremely high & made the monitor start alarming & while that was happening, nobody came to turn it off or check on me, my breathing was short & nothing was done about it. I basically got told he couldn't do anything in the most unprofessional way ever. Dr oliva. Thanks for nothing, this hurt. I'm dissatisfied & still in pain.

Went here after experiencing a bad reaction to some flu medication and unable to hold any fluids and after seeing the reviews for other emergency rooms around me.. wow, you guys are awesome. I came in at night in excruciating pain and left feeling almost 100% back to normal. Within an hour I was released and feeling way better. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, Leslie the nurse did an amazing job and thoroughly explained everything that was happening. I wish I remembered the other staffs names but they all were just as helpful and nice. I was seen within 5 minutes of checking into the ER and was put onto IV very soon after! Even my father was impressed at the quality of service. Thank you everybody in the ER on the night of 6/9/2016 for taking care of me!!
