PIH do better for your staff so they can do better for the patients. Hire more ppl, get a system that lets ppl know what process/step of the wait they are in. I'm sure the staff is tired of telling patients they don't know how long they'll wait. It creates a really hostile environment. Get more chairs for the overflow outside. The 5 stars is for the staff on 1/15 only especially the triage nurse I wish i would've got her name. ( petite woman). PIH just look at the reviews for this place. sad!

I waited 2 hours for vitals and a little over 5 hours to be seen. However, considering how busy it was the night shift staff came in and started calling names taking vitals etc. they were really professional, friendly and apologetic about the long wait. The waiting area is clean, bathrooms clean. It's the ER i expect to wait but let people know an average time. Other hospitals do!

Pih ER room is not the place to be right now. Their system has been down since November 30th, 2024, and taking longer than ever. They got hacked and still haven't fixed the problem. I went in scared and in pain from my hysterectomy surgery on the Monday before Christmas. I arrived at 9am, only a few people were in the waiting area, I got called in by 10 am but didn't end up leaving until 7 pm. I waited 5 hours to get an exam and would've waited past 7 pm if I wanted my discharge paperwork. I didn't wait, I just wanted to get home at this point. The same thing or worse happened to my daughter on Christmas Eve. She was there for 12 hours and seen by a doctor who just brushed her off as if her symptoms and pain weren't important. Start calling and complaining people because a whole day in the ER is ridiculous. Some of the ER doctors need to learn some compassion and people skills, not be total A-holes. Help the patient stop ignoring and gaslighting them.

This is not the place for stroke patients. This hospital is understaffed but overstaffed with security guards... I wonder why. ER waiting room is full of patients who don't look sick or in pain. That's why the wait time is five hours. Then no MRI scan was done, just a CT scan. Makes me wonder if they even have an MRI scan machine since it wasn't offer in first place. Wonder if this is a DEI hospital with mismanagement. Good Samaritan Hospital is the best for stroke patients, at least they have an MRI scan machine. Silver lining is the doctor did the best she could with what she had. Thank God for her.

On 01/15/25 - PIH ER express created an awful experience for their patients!!! I brought my 5 year old who had off and on fevers for weeks and no sign of getting better. We waited almost 7 hours to be seen. When I asked one of the express nurses does she know how much longer, she replied “we’re taking it patient by patient.” I replied ok just asking because we have been here for 6 hours and she snapped back “yea people have waited longer” (like is that supposed to make people feel better). The nurse instead of tending to any of the patients they place behind the curtain (so they’re easier to ignore) began talking about Matcha, types of matcha, their outfits and changing last names after marriage, honeymoons, meanwhile we’re still waiting to be seen! We left after waiting almost 7 hours at that point. My daughter was tired and cold and was never seen. PIH do better!! Look at these reviews, I will be filing a grievance on PIH. It’s cold/flu season I get it but PIH bed side manner is pitiful!!! Check that 2.5 star rating!!!

Bad experience in this ER!

Nurse Jocelyn seems in a hurry, ignoring patients and blurted out “when is this day going to end”.

Where is the nurse’s compassion? This hospital doesn’t have any compassion at all. Specially nurses. Nurse Jocelyn just removed my husband’s IV without doing it slowly. You can actually see that she wants my husband out already. My husband is having shortness of breath, later on diagnosed with Bronchitis and Pneumonia.

I get it’s busy and everything, but c’mon…. No need to give attitude to patients. If nurses don’t want to deal with patients, go look for another job.

Very bad experience. They made me wait hours just for my discharge papers I ended up leaving with our them and with no prescription to pick up my medication. I went and told them in a very calm positive way like 3 times, the second one once I told them and was in my way to the room they were giggling, laughing including the doctor. After almost 2 o 3 hours waiting to be discharged I decided to leave, I was feeling horrible I was still in pain and thirsty. (Many of you will assume I was mad for something and decided to leave a bad review in revenge) When in reality I will never leave a bad review to anyone no matter what but this time is something serious and I want you to think about it before stepping in there.

We've been here for 5 hours, I had yo make a damn scene for them to even acknowledge us. The security (allied universal go figure) was ridiculing my fiance and making fun of her in pain. But they don't know I have them recorded doing it. I litterally had to go inside and start yelling amd blocking doors for them to even come out. And we were here for her vomiting blood and blood in her stool. Do not come here, you will waste you time and they will ignore you.

I didn’t get past the ER lobby. There was too many people waiting inside and outside. They should at least have chairs to sit down on the outside as well. The triage nurse was the worst when she took me in I can tell right away she hates her job. The security guard was more helpful and kinder than her. I asked the intake nurse how much longer and “she didn’t know”. I left I wasn’t going to wait any longer. Stay away !!!!!!
