On April 14, I took my mother in she wasn't feeling well. She had a headache, chest pain, and indigestion. They did test turns out she was having a heart attack. They provided great care and immediately requested flying her to San Diego. Thank you to the doctor's nurses and all personnel for your attention and care of our mother.

Each time me or my wife come here, treated extremely well with respect. Never are we ignored. If in a lot of pain the nurses ask if you are okay or what is going on. You aren't invisible here.

Waiting isn't bad at all and they are thorough. The doctors I've seen have been great too. For someone on medi-cal, this place has been by far best hospital I have been to in southern California

Went in with my daughter and husband who are both sick on Christmas eve and the service was great. Staff was very professional and didn’t rush us out. The PA, Gustavo was very kind and listened to all of our questions and concerns. Definitely recommend to go to this ER when needed.

I never leave reviews on anything but this hospital is so bad I felt the genuine need to let others know. The staff here is rude, uncaring, lazy and unprofessional. I went in for a horrible migraine that l'd had for about three days and walked out of there with an allergic reaction to medication and discharge papers that said i was good to go because i didn't have a UTI. I did not mention a single symptom or concern for having a UTI and when I asked what I'm assuming was the nurse what about my migraine and back pain he asked "you had a headache and pack pain?" and i said that's the literal reason i came in for. He said back pain and headaches are common and the "migraine cocktail" i was given should fix that. I threw up that "cocktail" of medications shortly after they were given to me in the waiting room and the nurse that gave them to me could not even tell me what kind of medicine it was nor what the side effects were despite me asking if they would interfere with medication i take daily. All she could say was "it'll take the pain away". What i'm assuming was a Dr. or NP came out to the waiting room after about 3 and a half hours and assessed me in front of EVERYONE in the waiting room. People were staring as she had me move around and touched different parts of my body and I was extremely uncomfortable. When I attempted to bring this to her attention she raised her voice letting me know i had to speak up despite my discomfort with everyone's stares and knowing they were hearing everything she and i were saying. The same nurse that made me take medication without knowing what it was gave me shots that months later still hurt. She clearly did not know how to administer injections as months later i still get sharp pains on both arms where i got the injections and when i expressed my concerns to her she rolled her eyes and sarcastically asked if i wanted to feel better or not. I left there worse than i arrived with itchy burny rashes all throughout my body, a headache, more nausea and as a result of whatever medications they pumped in my body i was unable to sleep for over a day. I can go on and on about this experience but this covers just the basic information so you get an idea of the type of people running what is supposed to be a healthcare facility. All registration window workers are also rude and seem over their job.
Understaffed or not the people employed here clearly don't like their jobs anyway and have no business treating patients they way that they do im shocked this place is still running. My advice is stay away and you're better off making the trip to San Diego if it's really an emergency.

It took four hours just for the radiologist to provide me with the CT scan results so I just ended up walking out of the ER. They never even bother to call me. They just want to keep you there for hours in order to charge more on your health insurance. Next time I rather go to my local urgent care clinic which is definitely a faster service.

The doctor was great, but the way the phlebotomist took my blood samples, really upset me. She took my blood and left them on my lap for at least five minutes, until I had to ask another nurse to remove them because I was ill and not up to balancing blood vials on my lap. Then the next nurse just laid it on the chair next to me in the middle of the hallway in the ER. I am not sure if this common practice now when taking blood at PMH, but to me I think doing this would affect the outcome of the results of those tests being made.

Things have changed since the last time I was here (2016) they are short staffed and basically you are at the will of the person answering the patient calls, if she/he thinks it is important, they send your nurse, if not, you wait for 20-40 minutes or have to call back. Some great experienced nurses and some can be a bit “selective” and the same goes for CNAs. I’ve hade three great ones and one I could go without, since I only saw him 3 times in 12 hours.

I went to PMH as I was having difficulty breathing. The entire staff there treated me with respect, understanding and caring nature. They expedited my treatment so that I could breathe without difficulty. Dr Gonzalez was very understanding, professional and listened to my concerns. I will be making the drive to Brawley from now on in the event I need to go to the ER again.
