I brought my son into the Brookside emergency room around 1:30 in the morning due to inconsolable crying. I knew he had at least a right ear infection and once the provider saw us which was Dr. Patel he asked what I was there for and I said my son has an ear infection possibly a double ear infection looked in his ears for a half of a second said he was fine, he did not have an ear infection gave him a dose of Tylenol and Benadryl and sent us on our way. I know my son he’s had multiple ear infections. He had the runny nose, a high fever tugging at his ears. I don’t feel like the provider cared at all about my son or myself , he just wanted to get the crying baby out of the emergency room. I didn’t go for fun I went to get my son some Relief and started on some antibiotics. Within the next couple of hours, my son right eardrum ruptured. I made an appointment with his pediatrician and seeing him found out he had a ruptured eardrum caused by an ear infection and a left ear infection that hadn’t ruptured yet. Was told there’s absolutely no doctor looked in his ears because he would’ve seen an ear infection in both his left ear was fiery red, and his right ear was completely full of fluid. I am disappointed in Brookside, emergency room and the care of my son and would definitely like to speak to someone higher up regarding this issue. It’s honestly negligent and so unprofessional. I am so incredibly upset at this situation and something needs to be done.

The doctor that was on duty really could care less about what was actually wrong with me. Wasn't willing to run any tests. Do any type of looking into my pain. Just wrote me a pain prescription. Gave me 2 days off of work and sent me home. They gave me Norco and I was still in pain. If that doesn't tell you something is wrong I don't know what would

Last night I felt so lightheaded and my nose been running for at least 3 days along with a very bad headache , my brother went to the ER 20 mins before I did and he was diagnosed with Covid and I wanted to go and take a test just to be clear .it was around 11pm when I went , I understand everybody was tired and ready to go home but as a doctor they should still do they jobs right , I didn’t really catch the doctors name but when we was placed in the room to get checked he was right behind us , once we told him what was wrong he rudely said I don’t need a test and I don’t need paperwork for my school as he’s saying that me and my mother continue to ask him can we still take the test just to be clear and he told us it would take 2 hours for the test and we was willing to wait for it , once we said that he rudely said I don’t understand why she would need a test , I understand that if one person in the house has Covid it’s a possible chance that everybody in the house may have but my brother wasn’t exposed to the whole house he has been in his room by his self , so me and my mother left because the doctor wasn’t doing his job right . The next morning I took a test from Walgreens and it came back negative. If a patient is asking for a test and wants to take it just to be clear a doctor should respect what the patient asked for and give it to them .

Fast, friendly, and trauma informed. So patient with my autistic 5-year old who hit his head late last night. He is terrified of doctors, but they made him feel so comfortable. Honestly, it was way better than our past visits to children's Mercy ER.

I hesitate to leave this review because I don’t want people to know this might be KC’s best kept secret! I was warned that all ERs were packed, especially pediatric, so I opted to bring my daughter here. They were nice, efficient, and we were the only people in the waiting room on a Saturday.

They are pretty great but whoever supposed to clean to er restrooms, that are behind the locked doors needs to do way better. They wanted me to use a dirty bathroom, and didn't try to get anyone to clean it . Not to mention two of the rolls of tissue had poop on them. If someone reaches out I took pictures.

This is my go to emergency room. They are always fast and efficient. Fairly clean to be a urgent care. You normally Don't have to wait when you sit down you may have to wait the most 15 minutes if they're packed. They are very precise if you tell them what's going on. Again it's a urgent care so they try to get you in-and-out as fast as they can the most efficient results. You do have to wear mask of course it's hospital. The parking lot is very small but it's not a big hospital. I will definitely recommend coming here if you hate long waits

Took my sick family member here, and they were so gracious and kind! I would definitely recommend this location. I am very appreciative of the staff; they worked together seamlessly, & everything flowed with efficiency. But the best part was how respectful and just NICE they were. 10 stars!
