If you have a blood clot, check wait times or just call an ambulance. They may make you wait 5 hours or more like myself. Receptionist with feet up, didn't care that my condition was worsening after several hours. 👎 Meanwhile my 90 year old grandfather came in with a bowel obstruction curled up in excruciating pain in the waiting room for 4 hours. Absolutely unacceptable!!! There is no priority list. Shame on you Ridgeview Waconia leadership team. I can't imagine you haven't had folks die in your waiting room. I would recommend going to 212 medical center, Methodist, or just go downtown to HCMC. You'll receive better higher level care and won't have a fraction of the wait time.

Everything was fine the first few times I had to visit the ER in Waconia. After that, Drs had their minds made up and refused to look into my issues. At 41 years old I brought my mother in with me, the most recent visit, and the doctor STILL wouldn't listen to me! A week later I know what the issue was, and it would not have been rocket science for a doctor WHO CARED to figure out. I'm BEYOND disgusted and appalled!

I was very scared to go to the ER. Fortunately, it was an amazing experience - if one can say so about a visit in the ER 😉 The receptionist - Barb, was very friendly and comforting. Every nurse and the doctor himself were absolutely amazing. Very kind, very understating, very gentle. And pretty funny too! The Nurse practitioner - Lindsey, and Doctor Frederick went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and taken care of. They even let me swear, when I needed to, to survive the pain ;). I hope I will never see them again under similar circumstances, but if I ever have to visit the ER in the future, I would be crossing my fingers to have the privilege to be under their care.

I’m a younger female who went in there being told I’d have things figured out or atleast the ball rolling on things. I felt almost as big as an ant and that it didn’t feel has if my voice was heard at all even when I tried to explain current medical issues I was told before I ever finished that “that’s not it, couldn’t be possible”. Walked into a place that’s supposed to feel safe and who’d actually do something before they give you an answer and walked out with zero answers and in almost worse abdomen pain then when I came in.I was told though to come back if symptoms worsen which was the whole point for my visit in first place.(nurses were nice caring considerate, doctor wasn’t effective at all.)

Absolutely the worst!
My friend was going through DT's from alcohol. He waited for over 6 hours to get treatment and having heart palpitations. After that, he decided to leave the hospital on his own, while I wasn't there. I was getting his catheter from his house. I have not seen this since.
I have no idea if he's alive or dead. Ridgedale definitely drop the ball and may have killed my friend.
This is someplace you will never want to go.

I was recently seen at the Waconua ER. They were so thorough and so caring. I highly attest to the excellent level of care I experienced there. What a phenomenal staff! Every nurse, tech and the doctor (Valerie Johnson) was so kind and so professional. I was in very capable hands and went home knowing that I was privileged to have this facility in our town.

Rooms were a little small, but the staff was excellent. A very resilient bunch. I watched them calmly handle the most ridiculous, ungrateful and hysterical people over and over again as if they were talking to an upright citizen of character.
Thank you for keeping your customer service cool with all the senseless drama of medical.

Waited in the ER waiting room for 5+ hours with an 18 month old and was given no information about how many people were ahead of us or even a guess. Received snobby attitudes from 2 receptionists. Very disappointed that a hospital is run like this, was also told by a nurse that they are not short staffed so there was no need to wait this long! 😡
