This is the worst ER ever!!! If you need immediate help DO NOT COME HERE!!! You will be waiting for HOURS!!! Please save yourself the trip of coming if you are in pain.

This Emergency Room is a TOTAL JOKE! While I was here with my mom I saw people come and leave, people whom have been waiting for OVER 5 HOURS!!!! They leave because no one comes to receive them and take care of them. Got here at 4:30AM, only 2 people were in the waiting room, and they left, 3 hours passed, and Im still here with mom waiting to be seen by a physician. Keep in mind my mom has an excruciating pain and is also in a wheel chair.
What kind of ER is this?
It called an “Emergency Room” for a reason!

Super upset about this ER, I recommend Saint Lukes for any other thing BESIDES their ER. Please save yourself the time and go to another ER, dont risk waiting for hours under uncontrollable pain. You dont know what you might have, go to a place where you are seen IMMEDIATELY!!!

DO NOT GO HERE. Please read my full experience for the reason. Like most of the reviews on here, I had the same experience. This happened last night, on Saturday, Dec. 28. So this is fresh in my mind. I came in for burning in the limbs and not being able to move my legs or arms properly because of the severe pain. I felt this pain in all parts of my legs, toes, elbows, fingers. The only place I didn’t have pain was my back. My boyfriend and I checked me in at 10:16 p.m. and we voluntarily left at 12:41 a.m. I was taken into a room shortly after arriving to get my temperature taken, blood pressure, etc. And then was left to wait. While we were waiting, 7 people came out of the back without a single person being taken in. When we asked the receptionist nurse and how much longer it will be so we could determine if we’d like to seek care elsewhere, she checked the time we came in and then said she would go talk to the nurse. So we thought she recognized we had been sitting for two hours and I was finally going to get seen. But that was not the case. She came to us in the waiting room and said the wait times will be long whether it’s two people in here or 10, basically meaning “we’ll get to you when we get to you.” And she said “they can’t make me stay to receive care.” I could only just stare at her because I was honestly baffled by the use of that statement in this situation. Because I’m there to RECEIVE CARE but YOUR’E NOT PROVIDING ME CARE. I spent two hours sitting in a wheelchair because I couldn’t walk because it felt like the blood was boiling inside of my legs. So I proceeded to check-out to leave and we had questions about the billing process, insurance and such, because I had never been to an emergency room before. I’ve been to my primary care but I didn’t know if insurance worked the same way at an ER. The same receptionist nurse that we had been speaking to - I am not sure if she was annoyed with our questions or with us as a whole, but she was not providing a pleasant experience. My boyfriend and I were both calm and respectful, we did not yell or raise our voices. I spent most of the night softly crying because of the pain and my boyfriend was remaining calm and strong for me. But the “annoying attitude” was definitely unacceptable. Then when we left out, my boyfriend asked the security personnel (which was a different person than the person who scanned me when we came in) if I could sit there in the wheelchair while he pulled his car up. The security woman very sternly said, I couldn’t wait there and I either had to wait inside the waiting room or all the way outside. It’s not really the answers to our question that felt wrong, it was the way it was said. I’m a small woman who is in pain and all I wanted was to get help - but all I was left experiencing was long wait times, an uncomfortable wheelchair burning limbs and some bad attitudes. We ended up going home and testing my luck with ibuprofen and rest.

If you're in really bad pain, just call an ambulance, I'm begging you. I was wailing in agony, vomiting violently, and still waited hours to be seen, with very little sympathy. I understand the strain on the workers, a guy was asking for pills who didn't need them while I was having my episode. But the fact I begged for hours to multiple nurses and I only got effective medication when I only made it 2 minutes into an MRI? As soon as it was an inconvenience to the doctors I got what I needed. I advocated for myself the whole time, I even said I wasn't going to make it through the test before they put me in, but no one was listening. After my MRI I was finally taken seriously about the amount of pain I was in and all the doctors and nurses were great. The surgery staff, the overnight nurses were all stellar. But the level of attention and concern to people clearly having an active and painful emergency at this ER is not there. The hospital in generally pretty great, just not the ER. If someone you love is in horrible pain, call the ambulance.

I took my husband to ER today (12/16) at the suggestion of my PCP. He experienced signs of TIAs on Saturday and Sunday and had another fall Monday AM. When checking I specifically indicated possible TIA, stroke issues. Almost 3 hours later we were still in waiting area to see a doctor. I guess stroke is not serious enough. We left as they could not tell when it might be his "turn,". Worst experience at St Luke's EVER!! My husband also has dementia (which was related to staff) and his agitation level was sky high after 3 hours. I brought my husband home & as should there be an issue in the next few days, you can bet St Luke's will hear about it. Why would you left a possible stroke patient wait for 3 hours?

Please avoid this place. You may end up waiting for hours for something as simple as a common flu treatment. The staff doesn’t seem busy, yet the nurses blatantly ignore their patients. I asked for a cup of water three hours ago, and I still haven’t received it. They lack basic courtesy.

Worst ER I have ever been to. Was sent here from another hospital ER ( they could not admit because the surgeon who did my surgery was affiliated with St Luke’s) was told they had room for me, they did not. They also did nothing for me, no labs they did take a few X-rays. The other ER worked me up and gave me IV antibiotics and drew blood cultures and other bloodwork. They never had a room for me and when I complained they said that had people waiting 36 hrs for a room. This is terrible and then to do nothing. No offer of food or drink knowing I had been in ER for16 hrs. Had to ask for pain meds. On top of that I was put in a cubby and they forgot to put a nurse call button within my reach, I had to use my cell phone to call the ER and request help when I was in their ER.
Worst care I have ever received.

no sense of urgency at all & almost felt like front desk was annoyed. The rest of the hospital seems nice but feels as though they don’t care about the emergency room at all. Also seems like there is no upkeep as it felt unsanitary. Extremely dirty for a hospital, I’ve never seen an emergency room with the lack of care, cleanliness and resources. I felt dirty after just sitting in the chair. I had a really great doctor though.

Poor service, no one acts like they care in this department. Bad attitude from multiple nursing staff during stay and horrible long wait times that no one checked in on patient. Upper management needs to check in as patient and see how this is truly run. Emergency room looks old and worn out, needs updating. I will give Olivia who works nights a kudos though as she was a great nurse. St. Luke's needs to be better than this.
