I reached here at 1:10 with a letter from doctor who asked me to visit A&E and get ECG & chest X-Ray done.. The time is 18:25 when I’m writing this review… Until now only my ECG & Blood has been taken. When I went to check on how long will it take so the lady at Reception Rudely replied it’s less wait time today somedays its even 9 hours of waiting.. so you just have to wait. You can wait for more half an hour… Even the half an hour more she told me has passed but no one called for me..
Imagine someone with extreme chest pain & asthma has to wait this long & this is the kind of response you get from this so called hard working staff…
These people aren’t even bothered to look at the feedback people have been giving them about their lame service.

Husband had a very bad dog bite, could have fixed it myself but he wanted to wait and that was over 6 hours. While we were there my husband helped out a 97year old lady who had become so distressed. He found out how much longer she had to wait and then sorted out her taxi home. There’s no help or compassion from the staff.
When we finally got seen, even the doctor was frustrated as he said all the nurse practitioners had called in sick. He had to get doctors off the ward to come down and help. This is not a health care system, it’s a broken wreck.

The girl is seeing my eye badly and my mouth is swollen on the sides and I feel inflammation in my throat and they have already seen me 4 times and she only says that she sees my throat well when my face says otherwise because it is swollen and they don't inject me no medication yet. That's why I hate coming to the doctor so much to waste my time with these people.

I had to go for 2X rays and a scan. My times were 10.30 and 12 15 I arrived at 10.00 after 15 mins I was taken through. They explained what was going to happen and checked I was the right person. I then had about 6 X rays taken.
Great staff. treated with care and passion and quickly out and on my way to have my scans.
At the scan building I was quickly seen and gave all my details then told to sit in the waiting room to be called. I was called in 20 mins early and 30 mins later I was home.
So quickly in and out and treated with care and kindness throughout. By Super Staff at the Royal.

25 hours of sitting on a trolley in the corridor, unable to bear weight, feeling sick and faint with pain in my side, before a consultant thought it would be useful to do a urine test! 1 member of staff took the time to listen without talking over the top of me. My cpap equipment was slung on a chair in the middle of the corridor whilst I was away having a scan! No respect for people or property. Had enough of the nhs- it is broken and the people working in this a and e are constantly moaning about patients wasting nhs time. The tax payer is not at fault for a faulty gp system and the nhs being under pressure does not give the nhs workers (not all) entitlement to decide who should and shouldn't walk through the doors or blame patients for their work pressures.

When Googling the nearest A&E for a minor injury last night, I ended up at this one. I wouldn't normally review a hospital visit, but I'd noticed it had a poor star rating which probably doesn't do much for staff morale here. I guess you'd only write something if you were unhappy, and the positives go unnoticed. So, I just want to leave 5 stars because everybody I encountered from reception to discharge was super friendly, helpful and efficient, and I'm very grateful for their hard work. In and out within 2.5 hours 🙂

There were 13 people visible in A&E and the wait time was 8-10.5 hours. Cannot comprehend

Came in dizzy and unable to walk with chest pain and a pounding heartbeat. Had to wait 11 hours overnight not getting any sleep. Then they told me I would have to wait another 2-3 hours so I left.
