You’re better off, staying home and dying in your own bed than going to this place where they prioritize strained ankles over sepsis. I have had to leave more times than I’ve been seeing. I’ve been discharged from the waiting room and I got passed over while literally having a stroke.

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC. Terrible experience. I had to take a staff member for a migraine and partial paralyzation, these unprofessional people had us wait in the lobby for almost two hours after checking-in. Nobody else was around and we were the only patients there. Next, they only care about authorization to treat because the staff member was a minor. Why is that important first? please treat the patient first, this is a life or death situation - lets talk about these stuff after we're done. We were kept in the ER room for 5 hours just waiting for 8 lab test results, and it turns out they are just "busy" with other patients. The patient was not allowed to drink or eat anything, no one was paying attention to us. Please improve the healthcare system in the US. I hate it here. Also, they just handed us the results and kicked us out. Didnt explain anything to us, not even insurance or prescriptions. Again, DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC.

Our mom fell while we were doing chores outside and could not move her left shoulder at all. We got her to the emergency room and they took her in right away. Security guard on duty rolled a wheel chair out to help her in to the lobby. The staff of nurses were incredibly friendly and helped cheer her up. She was feeling really down. They got her back to the room took x rays, got the doctor in all within 2 hrs. Found out it was a clean break, did one more round of x rays and were sent on our way. I was worried a little because of the other reviews but the last review here was from a year ago. The staff was really kind and caring, my mom really enjoyed talking with Dasha and Danielle, shout out to those two nurses. But over all a really great experience, thanks to everyone there for taking care of my mom.

If i could give zero stars i would. Didnt listen to the concerns, wanted to get patient out as soon as possible. And sent patient on his way without really addressing options on patients care. Patient is worse now, then when he went in.

My experience was amazing the ambulance drivers were incredible same with the 1st responders. And the nurses were amazing to my kid who was having suicide and crisis issues. Amazing nurses and Dr's. Angie and Bob were amazing nurses.

Sanford can and will protect their staff's MISTREATMENT and abuse of patients and their family members. Not only have we had issues at the ER, but in the ICU as well. This is hands down the sorriest excuse for a Healthcare establishment that we have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

The night shift nurse was physically abusive by hitting me in the head with the call button/tv remote that's on that cord. She wasn't concerned and was like, "whoops". Then the guy who was rolling my bed to xray whipped my bed around and hit doorways. I was having asthma issues with my inhaler not doing squat.
I am having a severe back problem tonight with numbness in one leg and extreme pain.
Think I'm going to the Bemidji Sanford ER? Hell no! I'd rather acquire paralysis then go there. Because if that isn't the issue going in, it may be after I get there.
The nurses and assistants are burnouts. Especially the night shift. If you need emergency help, avoid that ER.

Now, it never used to be like that years ago when I first moved to Bemidji. It didn't matter who came in for what. The medical staff were amazing, comforting, and were respectful. I haven't seen any of those previous medical staff anywhere in my past visits. But I have heard similar experiences from others who've gone there at night in the last couple years.

Did I report the abuse? No. Why? Because Sanford hired them. To me, it shows they're okay with patient abuse. How would I know? Because I've reported other things before at this hospital and another Sanford in another state. They didn't do nothing. They will continue to do nothing.

I had a client sent from the clinic to the er for suicidal thoughts. My client was hungry and we asked about getting some food from the cafeteria. My client was told if she goes and they call her name she will lose her place. She should of been taken care of right away. If a doctor walks you to the er for violent and suicidal behavior. They shouldn't be waiting in the er. They dont handle suicidal patients correctly what so ever.
