Came here after being in a car accident with my fiance and my 1 year old. Got triaged within 15 minutes and put back in the waiting room. After 2 hours of waiting patiently I asked the receptionist for an estimated wait time. Receptionist stated word for word "sorry unfortunately you are pretty low on our priority list right now and we've had patients waiting for 4 hours"

Id love to see what bs y'all respond to this review with because I have worked as a Firefighter and EMT and have also worked in an Emergency Department as an ED tech.
I don't know or understand what kind of backwards priority Emergency Department you are running but this is how people die of negligence and malpractice.

Who knows you may be hearing from a lawyer cause not prioritizing a 1 year old who was just in a vehicle crash is beyond me.

Come to the ER at 3:00am for my husband who was having a really chest pain. They took him back to get him started then made us go back to the waiting room because they need to "clean a room"!! Really there was no one here!! How can ALL the rooms be full n dirty? This is ridiculous!! How can the staff treat people this way? They clearly saw how much pain he was in! And due to the pain he went into a major anxiety attack! When we finally was able to get a room, we walked past only 3 rooms that had people in it!! What the hell? They had almost every damn room open but 3!! And they tell us they need to "clean a room" this is bullshit! Never again will I ever come here! If they are gonna make people wait a damn half an hr for a "room to be cleaned" when they have plenty of rooms open, and they are gonna lie to people I will definitely be telling everyone I know NOT to come here! Then on top of that we waited for over another 30 mins for even a doctor or nurse showed up! There was only 3 other people here, so again the wait time is ridiculous! Instead of standing around at the desk making jokes and laughing, maybe people could do their damn jobs and help! Again I will never come here again. If he wasn't in so much pain, I would have taken him so place else! Worse ER I have ever been to!

You better dress nice on your visit.

This review actually covers two visits to the emergency room at St Francis. Unfortunately I had to go there twice for two different reasons in about a 4 day window.

The first trip there I was able to drive myself, I was freshly showered and put on nice clothes. Howard, the ER doctor, was absolutely wonderful, as was his entire staff. I received excellent care.

My second trip I had to go in an ambulance. I was in a pair of sweatpants with holes in them that I like to sleep in sometimes, a older t-shirt that was probably wrinkled, because of my condition I hadn't been able to shave, and my hair was quite disheveled. I threw some stuff in an old backpack and arrived at the hospital basically looking like someone who lives on the streets. To say that I was treated the way I looked would be a giant understatement. I probably looked like I'd been lying with fleas, and that's the way I was treated.

From the moment I arrived, I was apparently a burden to the staff. I asked for water and was told by a nurse that I needed a prescription and it had to be approved by insurance. Now I think she may have been joking when she said this, all I know is to they wouldn't give me water. They wouldn't even tell me what was in the medicine they gave me. I could go on and on about how bad I was treated, but what's the point? It feels like this type of behavior was ingrained in the staff. How can I, an absolute nobody, affect change? However, I will say this.

The love of my life who is a minority said, "Can you imagine how you would have been treated if you were a person of color." Sadly she is probably right. All I can say is if you go to St Francis medical emergency room you better dress nice.

I almost didn’t go there because of the reviews, but I’m glad that I did. It is close to my house. It’s a bit concerning to walk into the doors to meet a security guard and metal detector, but I’m grateful for the extra layer of security. My care was great, my wait was minimal, and my care team was all concerned with getting me feeling better. I can’t say enough about what a great experience this was.

This hospital used to be our preferred hospital for years, even had my children here. We have been in the emergency room area/staff a few times in the last few months- 2 different car accidents, my husband almost having a stroke, etc. The staff in the emergency room are AWFUL, your front staff is as rude as can be. No one cares, and is heartless here. It's so frustrating to even be in this building. We prefer Penrose main now. Their staff seems to be top notch. How embarrassing to have so many bad reviews about the staff here. There needs to be a serious face lift with the employees here.

After a conversation with my son, a veteran of the Army and someone in need of care recently in your ER, who waited 6 hours to be seen, once seen with a BP way over a line! Seen and still a BP way over the limit of what I as a nurse would have not let my patient leave the hospital! And should not have been sent home with, I suggest you take a good look at who you are allowing to triage your patients! I’m so pissed just hearing the story of his time with your ER and that he never use you again.

From Ms. Kim to Ms. Michelle to Dr. B! Thank you for taking care of my big baby self! I have had bad experiences in ERs and this was quite pleasant despite being here for being sick.

My experience with the staff was okay, however, my issue is with billing. A claim was never filed with my insurance and we are a military family so no issues on our end as far as coverage but now I have a "late bill" because someone couldn't spell my name correctly and apply my insurance. I've been trying to resolve this for a month now. Absolutely ridiculous we will never come here again.
