Dr. Richard Burris single-handedly restoring my faith in the medical community. I was sent away by two different medical providers before finally seeking help at this facility. Dr. Burris only needed a couple minutes to figure out what was wrong with me and prescribe the correct medicine. So thankful for him!

In an age of sick people and overworked doctors and nurses, you'll overwhelmingly encounter negative reviews of emergency rooms. The generous "3.1" stars given St. Francis are actually an indication of just how different this facility is.

The staff here are exceptionally kind and professional. They're kind even to "problem patients," something I can attest to myself, as I've regretfully been one in the past. However, on the occasions I have presented with an urgent medical issue, the contrast in how I've been treated here compared to other emergency rooms is dramatic: I'm seen quickly and treated with respect.

That kindness and professionalism deserve not only reciprocation, but recognition. I wish for every patient who comes to this facility to be every bit as respectful to the staff as they have been to me.

Overpriced training center for new doctors/nurses. They are threatening to ruin my credit score because I can't pay 2 years of my income that I don't have. There was little value provided for such an expensive non-service.
Edit: working with their financial aid team was a hassle but i'm no longer having to choose how to destroy myself financially.
Edit 2: I'm still being scammed for a years worth of income for garbage but it's within the realm of "payable".

Darn near cut my nose off with a crow bar ( not exaggerating) the day before leaving on vacation. Had a “normal” wait, awesome triage nurse had me comfortable in no time. Doctor that did the stitches was crazy good, seven days later you could hardly tell anything happened.

Definitely not the place to bring your child, toddler or baby. The wait is horrible, the triage nurse took my daughter’s temperature at 95° …and thought nothing of it. It took them five times and four different people to try to put an IV in. After five hours in the ER with a toddler, they gave her Tylenol and told us they didn’t know what was wrong. We went to Children’s Minneapolis and it was WORLDS better in care, knowledge and empathy. Don’t waste your time here.

They were very busy. Got me in fast and saved my life. My doctor and nurses were great and so nice to me. I am so grateful to have you guys so close to me. Best hospital I've ever been to.

The two times I have ever had to use the ER, I got dr John Maryele (I think?) and he has been so calm, patient, understanding, detailed, and far from dismissive. I wish he practiced as a primary physician. I respectfully hope I never have to return, but if needed we will absolutely use st. Francis. Thank you!!!
