I had an incredibly disappointing experience this evening at StoneSprings Hospital ER. The sign outside boasted a 6-minute wait time, which was entirely misleading. After being taken to a room, we sat for 1.5 hours with absolutely no communication or updates from the staff. It wasn’t until I expressed my frustration and said I was going to leave that someone finally came to see me.

Things only got worse from there. After undergoing an ultrasound, we were reassured that the doctor would be able to review the results quickly and provide us with answers. However, that promise was far from the reality. Over two hours later, we were still waiting—with no communication or explanation from anyone. It felt like we were completely forgotten, and no one seemed to care about the situation or the stress we were under.

This lack of professionalism, transparency, and basic courtesy is absolutely unacceptable, especially in a place where patients come expecting urgent care and compassion.

StoneSprings ER needs to seriously reevaluate how they operate. If you’re going to advertise wait times, they need to be accurate. If delays occur, patients deserve regular updates and honest communication—not to be left in the dark for hours. This experience was not just frustrating; it was disheartening. I sincerely hope management takes action to ensure no other patients or families are treated this poorly in the future.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the emergency room. My 13 month-old nephew was very sick, and his parents, who are not fluent in English, needed my help to explain the situation. Despite this, the hospital staff did not allow me to go in with them. This made the whole process much more difficult and stressful for everyone involved. It was the worst experience I have had with any hospital so far. I hope they improve their policies to better accommodate families in similar situations and this was the only bad experience I had with this hospital.

I wanted to thank Dr. Goldman and Nurse Coz (might be messing up the names) for all that they did for me. I am terrified of hospitals and doctors but their patience, explaining things to me, and giving me hope and a direction for my long-term health issues was truly better than I could’ve ever hoped. Great at their jobs and also exceptional human beings. I’m sure the ER can be a thankless job at times but a moment of listening, believing someone, and offering hope can really change people’s lives. Thank you both. You clearly change people’s lives for the better.

My ER visit was fast and efficient, and the staff was kind and caring! My husband took me to the ER because I had a severe migraine and couldn’t stop vomiting after a chiropractic neck adjustment. My chiropractor recommended I go straight to the ER. I was severely dehydrated and could barely stand. Within minutes, they had me in an examination room laying comfortably with warm blankets. Followed by an IV with fluids. All the staff were amazing but Jaime especially has a sincere way of taking care and comforting. I’m not the best patient but they all were a great team and promptly provided the test results and sent prescriptions. Grateful!

Update on 8/21/2024: Just an update on the extent of rip off mindset that this ER has. I got slapped with a rather hefty bill for this visit which involved only an X-Ray. The total bill was $1600+ for one X-ray alone and my portion after the insurance coverage was 807$. This is mind boggling. I did a quick search for ER costs for an X-Ray and they are usually between 260-450$. I wish I could give this ER negative star ratings. Unless you have a life threatening emergency and nowhere else to go to, please please stay away from this ER.

This ER has never ceased to disappoint me. Have been here many times for both myself as well as my family and never had a good experience. They are always interested in just sending exorbitant bills with a laser focus on money collection and not providing any quality service. I will give credit where its due though. Nurse Duval was very good and seemed to actually care about the well being of the patient

After coming back in town from a delayed flight, our son (19 y/o) was having signs of heat exhaustion and fatigue, he passed out twice at the airport before we promptly made our way to the StoneSprings ER. My son has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, so him passing out is a very scary ordeal. Dr. Larson was the provider on call that night, and him and his staff were extremely incompetent. He had no idea what he was doing, and his nurses proceeded to poke and prod my son 4-5 times in attempt to draw blood and start and IV. After repeatedly sticking him with no success, they wanted to find an anesthesiologist to start an IV and draw blood. Mind you, there is no Anesthesiologist available at the time (it was around 1 am), and he wanted us to wait several hours before an anesthesiologist came in to assist. At this point nothing they were doing was helping my son who was exhausted and could not stay up any longer. We decided to leave, Dr. Larson attempted to have us sign an AMA form, and stated that we were leaving against medical advice, when in fact we could not wait any longer for additional staff to come in to get a simple IV started. (After his incompetent nurses poked my son 4-5 times!). We complied with everything he asked (urine sample, EKG, etc). At one point my daughter came to the ER, so my husband stepped out to go bring her in, and Dr. Larson and his staff would not allow my husband to re-enter or left my daughter enter. They were extremely rude and unprofessional. I understand things are done differently during the night shift, but a more competent team of providers should be hired to replace the ones that are currently running this ER.

The next day we received a call from him stating that they were able to get some blood drawn (we did not see this) and he said he thought it would not be enough to get any results, and he himself did not know that his nurses had taken several units of blood already. It was all a mess, a waste of time and a upsetting experience. Clearly this doctor does not know what he is doing and had no idea what was going on, (he himself could not even start a basic IV!!). I would not recommend you seek help here unless its a true dire emergency. You are better off somewhere else.

Had a traumatizing experience in the ER. Will never forget the lack of care I was given and the uneducated staff that did not do the correct screening for my miscarriage even though I advised them that their method was not correct. My ob/gyn was shocked at the care I received there and told me to never go back. I hope other women don’t get this same treatment. This place needs staff and management upgrades.

I had a positive experience all the way around. The front desk staff was polite, as well as I was taken care of quickly and with respect. I was able to identify why I was having pain & will be seeing a specialist. I recommend this location- clean, well-run, and the doctor I saw was professional/ personable while also to the point. God Bless the staff!
