If I could give half a star I would, came in for a nose bleed that was very excessive just to sit in the waiting room for 3 hours with no signs of being seen in the near future. On top of my flu symptoms I was absolutely miserable and waiting for nothing was doing no good. Left with my nose still bleeding just to go across town and get seen and helped immediately.

I am a visitor from India and I can’t even explain the mental trauma I have been through throughout my time in the US during my visit to stormont vail ER. I had a abdomen pain and after consulting my doctor in India, I was told to get an injection for pain. I cane to the ER. No one attended to me for 5.5 hours and that too after being a patient of level 4 emergency. In the end I was called to a room where I talked to the physician, got my injection on ER bed where I hardly sat for 15 mins and I was charged with 1300 dollars. Its the business making strategy in name of healthcare where you are forced to sit a bed no matter for how much time and then later pay for that. Stormont Vail did not even once asked or told me the charges which I will be facing after repeated hours of me telling then that I am a visitor and I don’t know how things work. The staff was not trained at all. The girl who came in the last to take my insurance details did not know how to do it and even after consulting her senior she wasn’t able to do it. I had to come again and get my insurance details sorted. When It comes to charging “emergency patients” the hospital will charge you arbitrarily but when it comes to professionalism, efficiency they lack a lot. Its not reasonable to charge someone 1300 dollars out of no where, and it is very hard to believe that there is no consultation room for you to first talk to the doctor and then they can advise you if there is a need for a hospital emergency bed. You cannot forcibly exploit someone’s money in the name of emergency. The patient should be told in advance such things that according to your condition it is advisable if you use the bed. If I am charged with emergency room charges then why was I waiting in the waiting area for 5.5 hours of my time and not on the emergency bed for which I was charged.

The hospital has not even clearly mentioned the charges for outpatient in such cases on their website and there is an anomaly on the site when you cross reference ER charges.

I contacted patient experience of stormont vail and they raised my request and I got a reply in 7 days but they failed to understand my complaint and responded on a very different note. I called again to clarify the same and what you get from a patient experience customer care is someone cutting the phone on your face!! Yes, the representative cut the phone on my face. I have been facing so much mental trauma that this hospital has caused me and arbitrarily exploiting patients money.

had a hysterectomy here. was in the ob/gyn ward. there were 6 births the night i was there. never would have been able to tell by how patient and caring the nursing staff, particularly stephanie and kelsey were. i had blood pressure and sleep apnea issues and everyone made sure i knew what was going on.

Worst experience ever at a hospital. Charged a thousand dollars for a bill and I'm still in extreme pain. Now you charged me extra fees after my review. I'm never returning. I'm contacting an attorney too.

I came into the er on July 22nd at 11:30pm with chest pains. i was waiting in the waiting room for 5 hours without anyone coming to check on me. when my fiance asked if anyone was going to see me the nurse was extremely rude with her. i never got an answer on what was going on. the phlebotomist noah and jimmy were fantastic. my whole visit lasted 7 hours with no answers. i would not trust the emergency room to care for me if i was in a worse situation.

This is the worst hospital I've ever been to.. I literally told them exactly what was wrong because I had been previously diagnosed.. and they didn't run a single test that would give them any kind of answer as to why or what was happening with the previous diegnosess.. seriously don't go to this ER if you a rare diegnosess the doctors are low grade in the ER .

Absolutely terrible. I went into the er after falling off of my horse a couple weeks ago, with bad lower back pain. I arrived around 9 pm, And was not seen by a doctor or in a room until 11pm. When I was seen by a doctor he recommended I have an X-ray done, but before I went under radiation they wanted to test for pregnancy. I brought in my urine sample and the nurse set it on the counter and took me down to have my x-ray done. They did not even test my urine before taking me down. After he got the results from my x-ray he wanted to do an mri so that he could get a better look at things, so I did. When he got the results back he told that I had a fracture in my sacrum. By now it’s 3 AM, my dad was there with me and had to be to work at 4. So after spending 6 hours in the er and a hefty hospital bill, the doctor then tells me that I can go home and take Tylenol and ibuprofen as needed and I can put an ice pack on it. That was very frustrating to hear because that is what I had been doing the past two weeks and it did nothing. My dad had to ask the doctor to right me a prescription for something that would actually help my pain. Overall I was very unsatisfied. In the 6 hours I was there I saw a handful of nurses that were actually doing there jobs the rest of them were sitting at the nurses station chitchatting and eating. Im not really sure how this hospital is still in business.
