I went last night after a car wreck involving myself and my 5 year old. The care we received was like no other hospital trip I've EVER had. Every single staff member was empathetic and understanding to our situation. Every associate that came in to check on my daughter was kind and patient. The attending doctor was very thorough and made me feel so comfortable. I will without a doubt be recommending this facility and will request this facility for myself in the future.

Terrible experience! I brought my gf here because she was having severe abdominal pain for several days and it was getting worse bf worse. Urgent care said we had to go to the emergency room. We got taken back to a room fairly quickly after arriving, that was the highlight of the visit. They hooked her up to an IV and then didn’t come back for about 3 hours. At one point the Dr came in and said “ooops wrong room, but by the way you tested positive for ______” I’ll be back later. He never came back. I asked several times for a nurse to come to unhook her from the IV since the bag was literally empty for over an hour. Each time, someone would say “ok let me find the nurse I’ll be right back” and then never came back. After about 5 hours and me asking 3 times for someone to take her IV out a nurse finally came with discharge papers. We were given no explanation as to what was wrong and were only prescribed medication for nausea. We asked if the Doctor would be coming back like he said, but were told by the nurse “if there was something worrisome he’d come talk to us”. At that point we just wanted to leave but the nurse insisted she could get the doctor right away. We were told that several times already and nobody ever came, and had been there for 5+ hours so we just wanted to leave.
The nurse had the audacity to put the on the discharge notes that we refused to see the doctor and rushed out the door. Unless you are quite literally dying they could care less about you here.

Enter at your own risk. While I was originally seen very quickly by ER standards, it went down hill from there. I came in for bad pain around my right breast implant. I am a breast cancer survivor, and I explained that this side had been radiated. They put in an IV and hooked me up to a monitor for BP, etc. When I asked why an IV when I am here for pain in and around my chest area. The explanation was, "They may be checking for infection." So, I finally see the doctor and he literally did not examine me. He just sends me for x-rays (which took nearly two hours). I had to call twice to go to the bathroom while waiting for my results, and when I returned no one hooked me back up to the monitors, or put the bed railing back up, until I walked into the hallway to ask them why? The doctor finally reappears and says, "I didn't tell them to monitor you." Okay, so, I come in with pain in my chest area and you don't think that needs monitoring. Got it. I told the extremely unsympathetic attendant that I considered falling out of bed just to get their attention. They then hooked me back up to the monitors for 3 minutes while the incompetent doctor told me there was nothing on the x-ray and I could go home. I am not exaggerating. I would not go here. By the way, there are no results in my chart for any blood work. I understand drawing blood, but why an IV?

Last June I came here because I couldn't raise my left arm. Dr. Did cat scan. After about two hours I was told to go to my primary care so he can order physical therapy for my shoulder. One week later I'm at my primary care DR's he reviews catscan and freaks out because the bone between my shoulder and elbow has no blood flow and dying. I had to have emergency surgery needless to say.
For whatever reason I decided to come back here. I have been here 8 solid hours. Worst experience I've ever had at an ER. I probably have shingles. That is not an 8 hour ER visit. Not even Tampa General main ER would have taken this long. The gross disregard and incompetence is alarming and concerning. Never again will I come here and neither should you.

DO NOT GO HERE!! - the doctor I saw on Thursday night 1/9 was just simply awful.

I went in with blurry vision, headache, body aches, nausea and just not feeling right at all. I told her I was concerned it was a reaction to the antibiotic I was taking. She literally laughed in my face and said “no antibiotics don’t care that reaction”. She literally told me I had blurry vision because I needed to update my prescription- WHAT!!! She assured me to keep taking my antibiotics. Well good thing I listened to my instincts and stoped taking them, guess what all symptoms went away in a few days. Cut to 5 days later, I started seconding guessing maybe she was right. Maybe I’m fighting some weird virus, since I was symptom free, I tried antibiotics again. Within minutes ALL symptoms returned except this time I had double blurry vision. This time I went to the actual TGH, where they said I was absolutely having a dangerous reaction and to stop immediately.

This in my opinion in simply ignorance and pure laziness. This doctor did not focus on any other symptoms only my blurry vision and told me to get a new prescription. She absolutely should not be licensed to take care of people.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Bought my toddler in for a gash on his forehead after he fell and the staff here were so caring and patient with him. It was his first time at an ER which would have been a very stressful experience for both of us, if not for all of the amazing staff at this location. He is still talking about the temporary tattoos he was given.

My mother in law was taken here by ambulance after she fainted twice and hit her head hard on concrete. We’ve been waiting over two hours for her to be seen by SOMEONE- a nurse, doctor, literally any medical professional. Not a single person has come in to help her, even though she’s extremely dizzy and showing signs of a concussion. When we asked when she would be seen, the nurses (who were all gossiping amoungst eachother around the front desk) rolled their eyes and said that they’re understaffed. I cannot believe the lack of care that had given to us. I will never be going back here and no one else should either.

TGH SHOULD BE ASHAMED! Came in for scans/Xrays and had the worst experience ever. Doctor was completely clueless and never did a full exam. He didn't seem to really care to be there and at one point stopped talking and said "wait, what was I saying" after he took a phone call during my consult. Nurse never came back once to check on me during the 4 hours I was there. Asked 4 times for a cup of water and crackers which took an hour to get which came with attitude when dropping off. This is where it gets bad... After reviewing my charts myself, my Doctor finally comes in and literally said "everything looks fine so I am discharging you." Um sir, can you please at least go over my chart... I was met with "you can call your primary for that". AN HOUR LATER HE CALLS ME BACK saying another doctor reviewed my scans and needless to say things weren't fine. HOW CAN YOU DISMISS SOMEONE WHO STILL NEEDED HELP? Complete neglect. Awful staff other than Kerry the Tech. Do not go here.
