So the Heights ER just recently Opened back up in November 19, 2024 so forget the old comments underneath. In contrast, They are very considering. I recently had Abdominal pain and they were very concerned about my health. The wait time was perfect and right away. In about a half in hour after labs I was already feeling better. They prescribe medicine after the visit. They recommend follow ups on discharge papers. I even received a Goody bag for coming. They are wonderful it feels and looks as good as a hospital. I would say come here. They are also open everyday 24/7, midnight-night. When the Front Desk Spoke , they were completely clear about services.
If there not able to take insurances they are still able to see you as a Medical Screen Evaluation and are able to tell how bad the emergency is. They work with Self Pay as arrangements on your own time to pay. They do not Bill insurances. Insurances will bill you instead and they are able to accommodate you paying 30%-50 of your co pay if you cant afford to pay the whole amount. If you insurance is not accepted , no worries they are still able to see you and also direct you to another facility that accepts your insurance. Overall I felt financially comfortable. I was prepared with insurance , so it wasn't a big deal for me. Insurances wont seem deniable, or not having self pay. Your still covered with knowing how true the emergency is. If anything say Ebony Garrett mentioned them đ

My experience at The Heights Emergency Room was incredible. The front desk is very nice and concerning of your problems. The nurses are very nice and genuine and the doctors really do care about your problem. The service was great. They provide snacks and coffee and of course water theyâre able to work out payment arrangements instead of making you pay the whole amount And the consultation fee is only 190 not bad for an ER. Iâve enjoyed my stay. It was nice and warm in all of the Patient rooms they had heaters and the service was so great. I didnât even realize how long I stayed. I would recommend this ER for anyone who has an emergency. They are convenient and very understanding and is ready to tackle any task you have!

Donât come here. The doctor is very unprofessional and not with proper medical knowledgeâŒïžWhen I have fever he advised me to take ibuprofen AFTER I EXPLICITLY told him I have kidney disease and was advised by my nephrologist not to take it. He said âI donât understand why. I take it too and Iâm fine.â
Iâm sure he didnât finish reading his textbook in med school. Itâs very dangerous to be seen by such doctors.

Very friendly however I donât understand medical professionals turning away an 80 year old woman having a blood pressure crisis because they donât take Medicare. I lose respect because they took an oath they are not busy and it is something they can handle but instead we get sent elsewhere. I will do my best to not be back.

The main value proposition of a freestanding ER is that you should be admitted within 5 minutes. I brought my wife here and waited nearly 30 minutes and had yet to be admitted so we left. We went to HCA ER a few minutes away and were admitted within 5 minutes.

For starters they do not know what they are doing. My insurance was not accepted here, I suggested that I would go somewhere else, but the women at the front desk said I could be seen for FREE. I get to the back, Iâm seen the dr comes in and the women comes in a few minutes later to tell me I would have to pay $900 out of pocket? For what when you just said I could been seen for free? instead of wasting my time I couldâve went where my insurance was ACCEPTED to begin with. I proceeded to ask for a drs note for work because again I was SEEN here, but not treated due to lack of clarification and communication. The Dr goes to tell me that âI canât give you a drs note because I wouldnât know what to put if your were not diagnosedâ then goes to say he doesnât have a diagnosis to put ON the drs note! Which is a HIPPA violation! Why would you put a DIAGNOSIS on a WORK note just to show that I was HERE and SEEN? completely unprofessional!! What I am here for at the ER is supposed to remain confidential. If employers canât even call to ask WHY I was seen, then why in your right mind would you VIOLATE HIPPA and put that on a Drs note I have to show to my job? I will be taking further action due to that concerning manner. I am in the medical field myself Iâm very aware of the rules.

Went in last night for a severe allergic reaction. I have Aetna insurance. It is literally the first one that they show on their website. I was the only patient in the waiting room. The receptionist could not figure out how to validate my Aetna insurance and said that she would register me as soon as they faxed her (1st) Fax in 2019? (2nd) fax at 10:45 pm? After 20 min wait with nothing being accomplished, I told the receptionist that I was leaving. I went to the emergency clinic 8 min drive away, filled out the paperwork and had my insurance validated within 3 min of walking through the door, was in a room within 5-6 and on an emergency steroid IV within 10 min. The nurse there said that I would have been priority even had they been full, which they were not. Heights: YOU ARE AN EMERGENCY CLINIC it matters if you keep people waiting because you cannot do your job.

I think a ton of people do not realize this is a PRIVATE EMERGENCY ROOM and they are able to deny you services if you do not pay upfront. The front desk was not too clear on things and she seemed a bit uptight. But this is just a park of working in private healthcare. I rarely go see a doctor so I donât actually carry an insurance policy so my pay out would have been $2500.upfront simply to have a doctor even look at you.
I would have been more than happy to pay the 2500 upfront if I knew I was going to get service however the front desk lady was very iffy and was like yeah basically pay us a ton of money and we will see what we can do for you. Itâs not exactly a tactic that you want to use when someoneâs about to hand you a ton of money..I opted to not use this emergency service based solely on the attitude of the front desk. You canât demand a large sum of money from someone and then basically tell them, but we may not be able to do anything for your toothache. It really just depends on the provider we might be able to send you home with antibioticsâŠ. But still give us two grand. I just didnât seem worth it to me. I ended up going to another private hospital that cost me double what they people ask for - but this hospital was efficient and the front desk staff gave me assurance that my toothache would be gone by the time I left. That is service I am willing to pay for-Heights Emergency Room could neverâŠ
UPDATE: This place is permanently closed. Which is amazing for the safety and 100% assurance of patient care.
