Warning: even with a courtesy notice of being late to the front admin due to traffic and difficultly in finding parking. When I arrived, I couldn’t find parking so I ended up parking in a spot designated for a reserved type of patient. I ran into the office on the 15th minute grace period mark. In which I checked in, the front desk receptionist immediately said after I gave her my last name and four, I was too late and the nurse isn’t available. I checked the clock and after those exchange of words, she went to the back to get verbal confirmation from Nurse Christina on whether she can take me for my visit. The receptionist comes out from the back and confirms Nurse Christina canceling my appointment due to “failure to show” reported on my appointment and bc Dr. Pedriguez is busy with another patient for my appointment and that I should have been on time. The frustration stems from the intent of showing up on time with work, traffic, a packed parking lot, and communication with the front desk. This is the first time in my 3-years this happened where they were not gracious with their “grace period.” This follow-up was originally scheduled for December but was moved to January as I am only allowed to have (1) visit, not back to back months. This was said by them. I end up having a nurse call me on the phone to follow-through with my original appointment which was to go over my labs. I bring up (5) concerns to her that I would like guidance/assistance on how to address. They said I would need to schedule a follow-up appointment with the Dr and she will have all the answers for me…in March 2025. I haven’t seen my Dr since Nov 2024 since my stillborn delivery. I am changing providers and am seriously frustrated with the lack of empathy from this staff I encountered in the Women’s Health Clinic today.

Have been going for treatment here since 2014, repeatedly informed my doctors about service connected knee injury which now has progressed to intermittently simply giving out and causing me to fall. I’ve fallen over 2 dozen times now many times on stairs , and now can’t feel my fingers and toes. Doctors keep telling me it’s not their job to notate it in my medical records since the new injuries sustained “aren’t service connected”. How is it not if the service injury caused me to be injured further ?
The VA seems to be full of the same people that work at the DMV and the post office. 200 windows available but only 2 open.

I just have to say the VA hasn't been that bad they have helped me with what I needed but today on a bad day where my entire back was locked up and numb I asked the valet driver if he would go get my car because it hurts to walk that i was in alot of pain and wasnt sure i could make it to my car. I had an early appointment so the Valet wasnt open when i got to my appointment but i thought they would help be out instead he said no and kinda laughed. No ticket i am not going. I am so upset, it took me a long time to get to my car because I was hurting so bad. Not to mention the last time I was here, I had to be in a wheelchair because I had fell and they literally forgot about me and I needed help to my car and they left for the day and I was stuck in a wheelchair at the business office until someone walked by and asked if I needed help. It wasn't their job but they were nice enough to get me to my car. I was in the wheelchair for over an hour waiting for someone to come get me.

I simply went to the emergency room and they didn't want to treat me because apparently it's only for veterans. It would be good if people knew because not all of us know. It's a shame because it's painful not to be treated, they gave me a paper to go to other hospitals. I still don't understand why if it's an emergency they would have to attend to everyone but oh well

I still have fond memories of when I was admitted earlier this year. I went to the ER in between clinic appointments and made a special request that was not routine. The staff could have easily said no, but instead took care of me. I am so appreciative!

It's unfortunate that the government does not appreciate the value of their servicemen and women after they served all their life protecting our country. Having to get a specialist to get my husband seen again is like a hurdle you have to take. Because he's an established patient already at the sleep department they are not taking any importance in seeing him for a condition that he's been treated for already and they won't allow him to be seen by another outside provider. They are aware of his severe condition. I asked Rick to help us get a sooner appointment because we both have not been getting any sleep but it's been 3 weeks now and no contact from them and to contact to follow up seems to be impossible. I left a message again early this week for them to call me back and today is Friday I still haven't heard anything from them and when I tried to call them apparently it is already too late and it was only 3:45PM. It is so sad how the VA has been serving Veterans for so long but they still have not improved their care for their Vets.

I'm from out of town and needed to go to the ER in the middle of the night. I couldn't walk and was in a lot it pain. Security at the front door (I think it was Security) helped wheel me to the er. The check-in process was quick as it was clear I was in a lot of pain. I was immediately assisted by a nurse and a Dr. Within 30 mins from getting dropped off and getting an exam, I was pain-free (from the meds, of course). It took less than 30 mins to have a mri, which is great timing cause some places take a while (the results were quick too). I'm not good with needles, so the nurse kept me distracted from the pain and discomfort I was in. I wish I got my doctor's name, but he I can't express how grateful I am to the staff at this hospital. Thank you!

The wait wasn't long and we got a really good informative doctor. The only thing I didn't like was they didn't really inforce masks in the ER. There were people that knew the had some kind of infection when they checked in yet they come and contaminate everyone else by not wearing a mask. Have common sense people but also the ER should inforce it.
