Went here due to major pain in my hips that I could scream from. They gave me meds and sent me on my way with little to no checking from the doctors. Went to my actual doctor a week later since my hip was still incredibly swollen and the pain was very present from the injury and found out that all they gave me was anxiety medication, not muscle relaxants like I had needed. I get that they are likely residents on their way to becoming doctors who need more training, but honestly, that was just gross neglect.

Came in after a sports injury. I was seen within an hour. 2 doctors assessed that I had a torn muscle and sent me home. No medication. No MRI. Nothing. They just looked at me and said they'd call me in a week. I went home and read the discharge papers. I was supposed to call them in a week. 8 weeks llater (because of insurance) I finally saw an orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed me with an emergency. She eas mad the ER docs didn't do more than a visual check. I went into surgery at 9 weeks when I should have had a torn pectoral fixed a week after the injury. The team at UCLA fell short.

This is the worst hospital, went to er per my Dr. Came out 4 days later nothing done. I left in worse condition than I went in spent the entire 4 days on a gurney in the hallway. My dog gets way better treatment at the vet than UCLA!

Been here 8 hours and nothing has been done for my husband who has cancer. It took over 6 hours to get him ANY type of medication. After 3 1/2 hours waiting to be seen in the ER, once he was taken to the back in ER, it took another 3 hours to see a nurse. Patients IV pumps would go off for over an hour while every staff member, doctor, nurse of the ER walked by multiple times and not look into it. It looks and sounds like some college frat party with the staff, laughing, and joking, drama conversation while ignoring patients. I honestly don’t think anyone works here.
This place is an embarrassment to UCLA Health. Don’t recommend their Emergency Room.

There is a Nurse who was really great to us once the first nurse’s shift was up, Bobby Xavier. Thank you Bobby for helping my husband.

I spent over 8 hours just waiting. The bill was issued before the meeting with the doctor. I gave away $1,100 ($605 with a discount) just for nothing, without any laboratory tests and x-rays. And in the end, I didn't even get a referral to a rheumatologist because I don't have insurance. What was the problem with saying that when I came? Because I said what I need. And after spending 8+ hours and paying a lot of money, I only got a phone number. And now I have to call with my poor English to find out which emergency room I need to go to next! I'm just glad I got a month's prescription for my pills, but they won't work well after the treatment break. Sulfasalazine will start to work well only after half a year.. So I feel pain all over my body and did not know how much inflammation in the spine and joints, and I cannot go to a rheumatologist. As an asylum, I do not yet have an SSN for health insurance.

Aweful place! Let alone that people come here in the hardest periods of their lives, the staff doesn’t make it better. Sitting hours and hours in the line. Fractures and bruises heal will heal faster themselves than you get helped.
