They took amazing care of me. They were very thorough and took a lot of tests and time with me to ensure they could figure out what the problem was. Yes the wait was long. But it’s LA and it’s the ER. I spent about 6 hours there in total but felt very cared for. There was even a women walking around the waiting room offering blankets and snacks and water to folks who were waiting with patience. They take travel insurance and I asked in advance. There was even a social worker who came to make sure I was okay given to reason for my visit. Overall I can’t expressed how much care there was in my experience.

Went in at 10 pm for an asthma attack and didn’t get called in until 2. During my wait I had a sudden panic attack. I was walking around pale with purple lips could barely walk. I went to the security guard because the front desk was busy. I was holding onto whatever I could. Nobody has checked on me at this point. I’m able to make it to the bathroom where I calm myself down. During my ten minutes in there not once did someone check on me. This is extremely concerning because what if this were someone else and they had fainted and hit their head in the bathroom. I was never checked up on it was as if nothing had happened. It wasn’t even mentioned when I was called in. The wait was extremely long but I know I shouldn’t blame the staff as it isn’t their fault. But again I think they should at least come out and check on us. I was having a severe asthma attack and couldn’t breath. Others were there for over 5 hours as I had overheard. Although the doctor and nurse were extremely kind, they didn’t do my typical medicine that I get when I go to the ER for asthma attacks. I was only sent home with pill steroids and more medication for the flu. It seems that they kind of brushed off my asthma and focused more on the flu which wasn’t why I was there. Now I am at the urgent care unable to breath 7 hours after being discharged from the ER. I had been here previously for my asthma a couple of times and was treated well. I think they tried to just move fast to get to the rest of the patients and probably deemed my situation as not urgent.

So disappointed.
I went to ER tried to give them my insurance card but the admin didn’t let me talk, told me to sit and wait. 6-7 hours later the admin came and asked for my insurance information. After I provided my info’s she came back told me they don’t accept my insurance. She couldn’t ask for my info at the beginning she registered me so I could go to a different hospital? They only had 1 doctor available for the whole hospital, you can already imagine I was seen by her 6 hours later being in the room. The nurse barely came to check on me, I even disconnected my self from the wires to go to restroom, my nurse didn’t even care to come check on me. My blood was dripping out of my IV called my nurse but no where he was found.
I was so disappointed and frustrated being in the hospital the whole day, yet I wasn’t being treated, I even got a headache from being hungry and thirsty.
I called the billing department to explain my situation, the women over the phone didn’t let me speak, told me I talk to loud for her ears so I asked her to transfer the phone to her manager since she wasn’t letting me speak, she hung up the phone on me.
What a horrible experience I had

Every time I've had to go into the ER at Verdugo Hills Hospital I always know I'm in good hands. I take my family and friends there just because I feel they really care and expedite the best service. They are a 5 star in my book.

Was just here with my mom to get her checked after a fall and it was all a very pleasant and quick experience. My regards to Kathy, the patient experience staff member, for going above and beyond in making sure we were comfortable during our visit. Her attention alone made time fly by.

Just as bad as other ERs. I was hoping this would be better than Pasadena but after three hours of waiting staff finally told me there were people waiting for 8 hours that had not been seen. I had to leave and wasted a lot of time.

It was the worst emergency room I have ever seen. I was feeling really bad and I went to the urgent care and the doctor was really in bad condition and I had to go to the emergency room as soon as possible. I went there with my relevance. We were waiting in the emergency room for almost 2 hours, and nobody was calling me. I asked the front desk lady what's reason you arr not taking any patients in 2 hours? They lady told me that they don't have any bed available. I had so much pain, and I was shaking almostpassingout. My relevances were calling the staff to help me and they came so late. They said if she is not passed out, we can't take her in the side. We went to the emergency room at 4:00 pm and the descharge was 5:00am. Only 2 people were really educated the doctor and the ER, the rest forget it. The whole emergency room had only one doctor. I have never ever gone go to that hospital, and I am recommending you to do the same thing.
