This hospital is terrible! The ER staff is rude. I was there last week, I was drugged up on Morphine and not feeling well so when I was discharged, I accidentally left my wallet behind. I called them and told them and they said they'd check with lost n found. I had to go back there to check. I was told they didn't find the wallet and maybe it got swooped up in the bed sheets with the laundry. I waited the weekend, called back to the ER on Monday and some rude person answered and would not even let me talk. She kept cutting me off, telling me it's not their problem etc etc. I had to raise my voice and tell her to stop interrupting me and let me finish my sentence. She was still talking over me. I never found my wallet and I'll never go back to this hospital again! So rude and unprofessional! And that's unnecessary to be so rude! If I could give zero stars I would!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Starting with the time you have to wait to be seen, you have to wait hours... I don't understand if someone goes for an EMERGENCY that you have to wait that exaggerated amount of time. My 9 year old son broke his head at the doctor. After waiting hours to be seen, he came with a speed that was enough to get rid of my son. Sitting in a chair, with his head down and he only said "don't move." Without any love, without any patience, and in my opinion without any ethics whatsoever, he gave him anesthesia and staples as if my son were a piece of plastic, as if my son didn't feel pain. After we complained and almost all the emergencies came out, then and only then a room appeared and the doctor wanted to do the impossible, only after everything that my son went through, who was crying in pain. They treat you coldly and they are dealing with sick people, because when you go to the emergency room it is for something serious. 0 Stars.

La experiencia más desagradable que se puede tener de un hospital, la tuve yo el día de ayer en este lugar. Fui con mi niña con fiebre y dolor de garganta. Tres horas después de estar allí fue que la medicaron para bajarle la fiebre y le hicieron un exudado de su garganta. Después de casi dos horas más el resultado del exudado nada, y cuando le pregunté al Nurse Practitioner que la estaba atendiendo me dijo riéndose que ya debía estar listo el resultado pero que nada aún, no recuerdo cuánto tiempo después fue que estuvo listo el resultado y nos pudimos ir de allí. Eso sí, apenas entramos fue la señora encargada de tomar los datos para cobrarle al seguro, eso sí no demoró nada. Todos los pacientes allí estaban muy molestos con la falta de atención que existía, todos reclamaban y a ninguno le prestaban atención. Hoy a las 12 del mediodía al ver que aún no me llamaban de la farmacia para ir por las medicinas, decido llamar, y resulta que este señor Nurse Practitioner había hecho mal la receta del antibiótico, había calculado mal la dosis del medicamento, o sea que si no corroboro y me llego a llevar por él le hubiese dado una sobredosis de antibióticos a la niña..., en fin..., qué desastre de experiencia.
Cabe recalcar que no siempre es así, hace alrededor de 9 meses mi niña estuvo allí ingresada en Observación con un cuadro digestivo, y desde que llegamos la atención fue maravillosa, el personal de guardia ese día era súper competente y muy bien preparado, para ellos mi admiración y eterno agradecimiento. En fin, que ayer nos tocó ser atendida por un desastre de equipo.

Learn how to respect people man don’t talk so rudely and have such an angry face you’re in an environment full of emotional people the last thing they want is an angry nurse . You must’ve failed your testing to be a medical doctor being such an angry rude nurse !

Disappointing Experience at This Hospital
I recently had an unfortunate experience at this hospital that I feel compelled to share. Despite never having written a review before, I couldn't let this one go unnoticed.
My five-day stay here has been far from satisfactory, and the level of care and service provided has left me deeply disappointed.
I arrived at the hospital for appendicitis surgery with hopes of a smooth process and attentive care. While a few nurses stood out for their kindness, understanding, and patience, the majority seemed clueless about my diagnosis and uninterested in addressing my concerns. Calling for help or explanations often elicited annoyed reactions, and I found myself waiting endlessly for answers from the elusive doctor. Waiting for 24 hours just to receive some clarity is far from acceptable.
The lack of compassion and understanding during what is undoubtedly a stressful and anxious time only added to my frustration. Waking up on soiled sheets without anyone noticing until I brought it to their attention was just one example of the neglect I encountered. It appears there's a disconnect in communication, as different staff members provide conflicting information about my situation and when I might be discharged. The inconsistency is maddening, and the hope given by one person is quickly dashed by another.
Adding to my dissatisfaction was an encounter with a nurse who exhibited a consistently hostile attitude towards me after a simple call for assistance. Despite explaining my severe anxiety and acknowledging the demanding nature of their job, the nurse's impatience was unwarranted and unprofessional. It's disappointing to feel like my genuine attempts to understand their system were met with hostility.
While I recognize the challenges nurses face and believe they deserve respect, my experience at this hospital has been far from fair treatment.

Never go to ER at Wellington. I was brought in to ER by ambulance with abdominal pain. I was assessed by nurse and put in waiting room. Never seen by Dr. Double over in pain slumped in chair for 2 hours. Was told I was not a priority. My family came and took me to Betshda East. Emergency gallbladder surgery. Wellington would have let me die in that waiting room
