What a joke!! My daughter’s dad took her
here with severe abdominal pain in her right side. She was given a urine sample and a ct scan. Before the ct scan the doctor said he really didn’t think it was appendicitis. He had his kind made up pretty quickly. Anyway, she was discharged being told it was a virus. Was only given nausea medication. The next day, we ended up at another ER with same severe pain, only worse. She was diagnosed with influenza A and a UTI. So that’s 2 diagnoses missed by Wesley Derby. That doctor just happened to be training at Wesley Derby the day my daughter was seen. He was familiar with her case and seemed highly annoyed to see us again. But at least we got some antibiotics (no pain meds though because obviously my daughter just needed to suck it up). Now here we are again 4 days later at another ER with the same pain waiting on confirmation of appendicitis diagnosis so we can get this taken care of once and for all. This ER is actually caring and trying to get us answers. We’ve had a sonogram and a new scan. This has been drawn out 4 days now. They missed 2, possibly 3 diagnoses and I’m probably going to have to pay an outrageous hospital bill for that terrible treatment. That doctor took 1 look at my daughter and thought he had the answers before he even touched her. He said the pain wouldn’t be from ovarian cyst because she was too skinny. Highly disappointed! My daughter did say her nurse was very sweet, so I am very thankful to the kind nurse. But the doctors were horrible!

I would give 0 stars if I could. I was seen at this location for bleeding during my pregnancy. I was told I was miscarrying my child which caused extensive stress on my physical self, mental health and my child which was deemed unnecessary by my OB 2 days later. I was not miscarrying at all. Doctor and nurse had 0 compassion or empathy. Turns out I had a hemorrhage that was passing causing the bleeding, the hospital knew of my condition but did not ever once mention that it could cause the bleeding. I did not know what was happening until I was seen by my OB. I will not be returning to this establishment and I do not recommend to anyone. The people who supposedly “helped” me need to be retrained or fired!

Excellent experience! The nurses were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful for the duration of our time there. We ended up getting helped by PA Ross who was incredible! He was very kind and took the extra time to really explain what was going on and thoroughly discuss options. I would absolutely recommend this ER.

Went to the Derby Wesley ER on a weeknight in the middle of the first snowstorm of the year with 9.5/10 pain from a kidney stone. Wichita Wesley's were totally full with no wait time estimate. Derby got me in within about 10 minutes of arriving. Every nurse I interacted with was courteous, professional, and compassionate. My PA was kind, explanatory, and calm. There were waiting periods while getting CT scan results back, getting medication prescribed and given, and waiting for lab tests-- and that was fine because that's the expected, normal tedium involved in emergency medicine. Will return (hopefully not soon) and would recommend.

My family and I used to go out of our way to come to this location because there was hardly ever a wait to be seen. But we will NEVER return to this one after our last experience. Came in with an emergency (tingling and numbness in mouth, hands, feet, going in and out of consciousness) was put into a room for ONE hour without anyone coming in to check on my wife, no UA, blood work, no registration, no one else in the waiting rooms. While waiting, the nurses had crumble cookie delivered and about 15 staff members sat around just chatting. We left after an hour and then received a bill for $4,000 with random, outlandish, mad up charges for services we NEVER received!! We disputed them and after investigating, they Wesley was forced to remove the made up charges!! We will NEVER trust this location with our health ever again.

Sean, who is a PA there- was absolutely the best today with my daughter who sliced her finger open on accident with a bread knife. I have went there multiple times for different things, and today was by far the best experience!
