I came here with my friend that he twisted his foot, after he checked in the doctor ordered an X-ray ,we asked for pain medication and after we sit in the room for an hour the nurse came with the medication, after she finished she left all the hazardous (needles, empty meds, tissues) on the table . We waited for 2 hours inside the room and no body came to check on us if we need anything even the remote to call for assistance is not working 😕😔. This is the worst ER I ever been and never again.

Front desk and the front desk police officers were talking crap about how dumb people are to come to the ER on a holiday. The triage lady was nice and we got back to a room rather quickly but after getting a flu swab done at 10pm we were not told about the results until 2am. My son was also supposed to get a chest x ray which never came. I actually left and the triage nurse asked me to stay and I would be discharged shortly. I understand things in an emergency room happen but I saw multiple nurses just sitting there. Nobody offered my son Tylenol for his 102 fever that they took on him and nobody told us about the flu results until I called 3 times to ask. Definitely not going back to this ER unless I'm dying or dead

Had my wife taken here by ambulance for severe chest pain, after 3 hours of waiting supposedly the two test they ran came back normal, her blood work and urine sample well we wouldn’t know since the vials and sample contain sat on the tray table full and never got to the lab. We had to wait because the entirety of the ER staff was trying to keep someone from dying?!? Which means if two people were dying they could only save one! If you don’t have enough staff that’s a serious problem. Doctor wanted to keep her over night I convinced her to stay just in case. It wasn’t until a nurse decided to ask her the same questions she’s already answered three times early, my wife in pain made a comment that she knew she wasn’t crazy, so in the nurse’s infinite medical knowledge and backed by her imaginary degree in psychology decide to tell my wife “maybe you are crazy”. I have worked in combat field hospitals with better bedside manners then this hospital, most of the nurses could care less if you live or die, the ones that do are being run into the ground. The little I saw of the doctors makes it seem like they are either in no rush or to over worked. The Administration of this hospital needs to institute a new system where nurses need to receive a certain amount of good patient reviews to keep their jobs. It could be a good hospital, if they had better nurses.

I usually reserve reviews for positive to promote businesses but am making an exception in this case. Spent 3.5 hours in waiting room only to have triage take assessment and follow up one other time in waiting room for vitals, explains why everyone receives their "own" BP cuff. A PA was "making rounds" in waiting room with no real feedback to give. Staff was very unhealthy, unkept and unprofessional. Finally asked for update and was told unless vitals took turn for worse we were essentially bottom of list. We chose this ER because we had been to new stand alone ER facility in WH 3 days ago and issue had gotten worse. I feel people could be lost in the shuffle at this place and have devastating effects. So sad.

If I could give zero stars I would. No regard for human life at this hospital or rather the emergency room. My husband is epeleptic and has herniated discs. He came in with unbearable pain, only to sit for 2 days being drugged up with pain meds and a bunch of apologies for what he was going through. Once I told him to sign an AMA, magically he was transferred to the hospital that would provide him care. Once at the major hospital (Orlando) we were informed that they were waiting on imaging for the MRIS he did. Again, he his electric and they know that at winter haven because they are alwayss the ones to intubate him during his episodes and transfer him. (He can’t control his seizures once they happen). KNOWING ALL THIS coupled with the unbearable pain that obviously can trigger seizures, my husband still continues to wait at the Orlando hospital for Winter Haven to send images that should have been sent as a part of his TRANSFER. He did not admit himself to Orlando so they made the Orlando hospital request the images which took more time and now my husband is currently seizing in the Orlando hospital. Again, he cannot control his seizures and I was very vocal both in Winter Haven and Orlando about what happens when he has these episodes, it becomes a matter of life or death we try to prevent. The charge nurse could care less I guess, she says once he is transferred it is out of her hands. In the future, we might as well take the risk and go to Lakeland or Orlando despite us living in winter haven. We get that they are not equipped, but my husband screamed in pain everyday and the dragging of the feet has now made a bad situation even worse, may god watch over my husband myself and my kids. We need him very much and Winter haven can care less.

Triage and registration are some of the worst people I have ever met. You would think because they are the first people you see and meet they would be more inviting but I received nothing but rude comments and unnecessary feedback. Once I got to the room the nurses and doctors were great, very professional. Everytime I come here it's the same way registration and triage are rude and inconsiderate making it hard to have a good experience. I asked to step and out and grab my jacket and was told I didn't need one because I'm not even in a room yet, as if that meant I was not able to be cold..? They made unnecessary comments about my spouse walking into the triage room with me stating she could stand to be without me for a couple minutes. I don't care what you deal with in your day there is no reasonable explanation for the way we were treated before entering a room.

A true and heartfelt thank you to the staff at this hospital. Everyone from ER reception, to the ER nurses and ER doctors all the way to several rounds of day and night time staff once admitted to the hospital. I am truly blown away by the kindness, thoroughness, and professionalism of everyone. They actually care about you as a person and they listen. I am in tears as I write this because I am so overwhelmed with gratitude that they took care of me when I needed it the most.

After presenting to Advent Health Heart of Florida in Davenport and being denied care for severe abdominal pain, I nearly crawled into WH ER begging for help because I was in SO much pain. They didn’t turn me away. They ran the proper tests, immediately admitted me, and discovered that I was having problems with gallstones. They kept me comfortable and cared for throughout the entire process. The surgeons even spent time with me explaining everything. Dr. Foster is FANTASTIC. What an incredible and kind doctor. And many thanks to ER Dr. Greisy for listening to me and ensuring that all tests were performed to diagnose and treat the problem rather than being dismissive like Advent Health. And of course the biggest thank yous to the incredible nurses. Stephanie… Gloria… Brian… I could just go on. Everyone was so amazing. I hope people look past the bad reviews here and see that this is really a wonderful hospital with caring staff. I would never go anywhere else!

Not enough coordination! I was there for FIVE hours !! One of those hours was just waiting for the discharge papers after the doctor had cleared me to go home!! It took them two hours to do a blood draw, mind you that wasn’t after I had gotten a room no that was in the lobby. I got a room after the blood work and cat scan. After being here for 3 1/2 hours I did finally get a room and to see a doctor though.
