Went to the county General Hospital stayed 12 hours with swollen lungs, and shortness of breath for them to tell me that the doctor was too busy to make an appointment to see my primary and I was released. This is not a hospital for sick people. It is a hospital Internships trying to be a medical profession.

I am extremely disappointed in the care I received from this person. From the moment I walked into his office, I felt like I was just another number, rather than a person seeking medical attention. He was in a rush, dismissed my symptoms and concerns, and didn't listen to my questions. His diagnosis and treatment plan were incorrect, and I had to seek a second opinion to get the proper care he needed. His behavior and communication were unacceptable, and I felt like a bother to him. "I would not recommend the Doctor to anyone and hope he takes steps to improve his patient care and communication skills.

Well that was a waste of a paramedic ride. I tried to go to the emergency room. I can barely walk my feet are killing me swallowing, open wounds cracking and infected.
my experience in the emergency room I didn't even make it to the Doctor . It seriously felt like security was violating my rights! cuz they wanted to confiscate my property. what are you going to do with that. As they said, we are going to throw it out. cuz I couldn't bring it on property. That is ridiculous.
so I grabbed my belongings and left. great service I never got.

This is the worst hospital ever My brother died and they won't do an autopsy on him because he doesn't qualify they probably robbed his organs. Now they are holding his body for who knows why ? They won't release his body to his family where we are trying to put him to rest in the hollywood forever cemetery with our other family member who has passed. Right before my brother died the Dr. Went on said leave and never signed to release my brother to be laid to rest because he went on vacation. Now they are telling our family he doesn't qualify for an autopsy and refuses to release my brother. HE DIED 09/11/2024 his body has still not been released the staff and doctor here are not helpful at all you would think with degrees would come more professionalism and more knowledge they can't even explain why they are holding his body. Please show some compassion and make it known the staff and dr.'s here are not true to there profession. My brother has died 9/11/2024 and his body is not being put to rest because the hospital and ambulance want money. They purposely took my brother while already pronounced dead in the ambulance to the hospital to make extra charges.

If I could give less than 0, I would. To anyone who is unfortunate enough to be stuck with Covered California, Medi-Cal, or LA Care, DO NOT GO HERE unless it's an extreme emergency. I’d prefer to drive further and get better care.

We are not humans to them or patients; we are numbers that make their work harder. That is how they treated me. I had severe abdominal cramps, and luckily, like most ERs, they take severe cases immediately, so my wait time was very short.

When I was in the back, the nurses were yelling in frustration and speaking in the rudest tones because I couldn’t sit in the exact way they wanted me to.

Meanwhile, I’m writhing in pain, trying to tell them that when the pain cycles around, it’s an 8 or 9 out of 10. I just needed to let it pass before I could sit, as it’s excruciating to sit upright when my stomach is severely cramping. As I struggled to advocate for myself, the nurses stopped listening and started yelling that if I didn’t sit down right then, they just wouldn’t help me and would come back when I was finished.

While I understand their frustration that they couldn’t do anything until I sat down, if they had taken the time to listen and stopped being frustrated when sick patients couldn’t do exactly what they’re told, they would have known what was going on with their patient. It felt like they were waiting for me to stop “faking it for drugs.”

I will say there were fully dressed male EMTs helping the nurses, and they were the best ones there, along with the ER doctor who helped me. I didn’t get her name, but she and the one EMT who helped me were the ONLY staff there with any bedside manner.

The staff here is just as garbage as the location they work in. I’m new to LA and the city, but goodness, this hospital was just horrid.

15 hour expected wait time.

Nurses and staff care about patients, yet it is an LA County Hospital and, therefore, it has priorities on immediate life-threatening situations, say, severe traffic accidents.

Consider PIH Good Samaritan or California Hospital for other needs.

Never been here before however was scared because of all the bad talk. Took my cousin that has this condition and ever where we token him they didn't want to treat him but here they made us feel so welcomed. They were professional and they actually cared this is how hospitals are supposed to run how healthcare workers are supposed to be compassionate and love what they do. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

Woah!! The reviews are mind boggling, I went in last week on around 9:30pm to the Emergency Room, because I fractured my shoulder or the scapula, glenoid to be specific. The pain was terrible! To the point where I felt immobile
However i was escorted rather rapidly into a room. I have mixed feeling for the nurses some were nice and some were just alright. But I never caught the doctors name that was helping me in Room 11 or R11, it was a young light skin female with brown hair or auburn. She was really sweet and nice, felt like I was in good care with her. I could tell she was busy like really busy. But she treated me like a patient and looked out for me. And speaking from my experience doctors like that are rare to find. So Doctor whoever you are. Thank you!!
